FAITH: The Unholy Trinity

FAITH is so cool, I wish Catholics were real.

A perfect game for October. I loved playing through this. There were a ton of tense moments and some times I even got jumpscared, but it could just be that I’m especially twitchy when it comes to these things.

As for the actual game, there is so much to love about it. The rotoscoped cutscenes absolutely increased the creepiness factor with the lifelike movement. There was some really surreal imagery in some of them that I enjoyed as well. The use of a voice synthesizer for the voices was also so well done. There were some times I couldn’t quite make out the lines being said when there weren’t subtitles included, but those were mostly voice lines from demons and all that, so there’s no saying it wasn’t partially intended to be that way.

A lot of the background details of the story are drip fed to you throughout the chapters through hidden notes that you can find by exorcising certain objects, which gave a nice motivation to exploring the maps as well.

All in all, I really loved this game. I still have the true ending of chapter 3 to do at the time of writing, but I have gotten all of the other endings for this chapter and the previous ones.

FAITH was a game that I didn’t really see myself playing a few years ago, but I’m glad that I changed my mind and played through it, and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone else who might be interested in it as well.
